Kinzmet

KinzChat is a way of talking with your Webkinz friend through constructed dialog.  If you have invited a Webkinz friend to your room, are in a Tournament, the KinzChat Plus Clubhouse, or are in your Webkinz friend’s room, you can talk with them using the KinzChat dialog boxes.  Three boxes are located in the lower left corner of your screen.  What is ASK, SAY, RAP?  This is the Webkinz KinzChat function!  If you want to ASK your friend a question, click on the ASK button.  A dialog box will come up with many choices.  For instance, you might want to ask them a question about their room.  Click on the “About the Room” selection.  Another extented box will come up with questions you might like to ask your friend about their room, such as: “What’s your favorite room theme?”.  That question will appear in the block underneath the boxes.  Click on the “Send” button to ask your friend that question.  You’ll see your question appear in a box above your Webkinz.  Your friend will inturn answer your question with a canned answer.  To respond to any of their questions, click on the ”Rap” button and find “Answers”  or better yet, click on the green “PacMan” talking face in their question box.  This will bring up answers specific to that question. I don’t know if the KinzChat wizards are working on a new system today, but I noticed different KinzChat dialog now in some areas.  I was playing the new Farming Frenzy game in the tournament area and saw that the dialog in that KinzChat area was updated! It’s difficult to tell, but it seems that adults playing in Webkinz World are more apt to use KinzChat for a longer period of time.  Kids playing the game don’t have a very long attention span and get bored with KinzChat.  But I’ve been fooled before! So far I’ve purchased 12 packets of Webkinz Trading Cards for my Webkinz!  There are 5 Trading Cards in each foil pack and one Challenge Game Rules Card with instructions on how to play the card game.  It’s the same game you can play in the Tournament at Webkinz World.  On the flip side of this card, you’ll discover up to 4 Feature Codes that you’ll enter in the Code Shop at Webkinz World under the Things To Do list.  The Feature Codes will unlock prizes for your Webkinz pets.  There are lots of very cool prizes. My Webkinz pets have unlocked lots of Kinzcash, two 70% off coupons to use at the W Shop, Wacky Bingo Coupons, a DiceKinz Series II booster pack, a Virtual Webkinz, complete outfits, bags of groceries, food items, the Sacred Pyramid Flooring from the Egyptian Theme and furniture for the Classic Game Theme and the Trading Card Theme. At the bottom of the Feature Codes card you’ll find another secret code for the Virtual Trading Cards.  You’ll want to collect the Virtual Trading Cards and save them in a safe place.  Go to the W Shop in Webkinz World and purchase the Webkinz Trading Cards Series 1 Binder for $100 Kinzcash.  Right now the Binder is  in the New Items Category at the W Shop.  Then place your Virtual Trading Cards there so they don’t get lost.  Once your binder is full, you’ll unlock even more prizes! The Classic Game Theme furniture that we’ve unlocked so far is the Game Board Wall Clock, the Crowned Rook Dresser, the Game Piece Poster Bed and the Games Under Glass Dining Table.  The Classic Game Theme wall and flooring was purchased at Arte’s Curio Shop as a rare item.  This Classic Game Theme furniture is a very dark, rich wood in-laid with the 4 card suits, hearts, clubs, diamonds and spades.  The Games Under Glass Dining Table features a Backgammon Game under the glass table top.  Very clever and functional.  We placed the Zingoz Switcherooz and Skunk Sweeper board games on this glass table top.  The Crowned Rook Dresser with mirror hold 8 items!  The Game Board Wall Clock really keeps time!  The Classic Game Theme uses a dark green wallpaper embossed with a darker green card suit design.  The bottom half of the wall is covered in a dark raised-panel wainscotting with a darker possibly walnut chair rail.  The flooring is a two-tone chess board pattern with a border to match the chair railing. Other furniture prizes we unlocked are the Trading Card Fridge and the Trading Card Dresser from the Trading Card Theme.  This painted furniture is a light teal blue and a yellowish gold, but not the same as the Cheerleading Themed room.  I guess it’s actually the Webkinz World brand color.  The Trading Card Fridge has a refrigerator and freezer that holds 8 food items.  The front of the Trading Card Fridge is embellished with gold stars, just like on the face of the Webkinz Trading Cards.  The Trading Card Dresser has two drawers with blue star knobs that will hold up to 8 items of clothing.  The Webkinz Trading Cards emblem is painted on the sides.  The dresser’s raised back is carved and  painted in a Deco-star design with a centered mirror.  A flower vase and vanity box decorate the top. Now I am getting ready to adopt my first ever Webkinz Trading Cards Virtual Webkinz pet! KinzMiss

What’s a Webkinz, you might ask?  They are the invention of some very clever people at Ganz.  Wish I would have thought of it myself!  Webkinz are cute, furry little stuffed animals, cuter than beanie babies, that you purchase at your local gift store.  As of today, there are a total of 77 pets in two sizes.  Four are already retired and two are seasonal. They each come with a sealed clear plastic envelope that holds their secret code that you enter at the Webkinz website when you adopt your pet, name it and choose if it’s to be a boy or a girl.  (I think my girls require higher maintenance than my boys, but it might just be my imagination.)  They also have a W logo on one foot.  Some earlier versions did not have the logo. Your Webkinz pet will receive a birth certificate stating it’s name, type of pet, date of birth and Ms. Birdy’s signature.  Your Webkinz pet will also receive gifts.  Your first several Webkinz will also receive a room.  The type of gifts each pet receives will depend on the actual Webkinz pet that you adopt.  My Monkey received Kinzcash, a Welcome balloon, a Monkey Business Couch, a Jungle Sandwich (his special food), a Webkinz Guide and a room! Your new Virtual Pet is ready to come to life, join in all the Webkinz activities at Webkinz World, but most of all, give you hours of fun!

What started out as a simple stuffed animal gift from my husband has turned into what has become quite an obession.  You see, my little stuffed animal monkey came with a tag.  It was a Webkinz tag.  The tag came with a secret code letting me into the virtual world of all things Webkinz.  This is where it all started. I doubt that I’m the ONLY adult that “plays” Webkinz.  I just couldn’t resist logging in to www.Webkinz.com  entering my secret code and adopting my first Webkinz pet, my Monkey.  Then the fun and my addiction began!! ha, ha!! My Monkey’s best friend, according to the bio that you get with each pet you adopt, is the Unicorn.  So just in conversation I mentioned this to my hubby and low and behold a few weeks later he comes home with one!!!  This would be the start of my Webkinz menagerie. When I first started adopting my Webkinz pets they were readily available at a nearby gift shop.  About the beginning of 2007 something happened and their popularity skyrocketed.  The retail stores were out of stock everywhere.  They are still difficult to find, with stores being forced to place limitations on the numbers you are allowed to purchase or other unethical practices.  Brand new additions to the Webkinz family are almost impossible to buy over the counter and have to be special ordered if the store is even willing to accomodate that or have to be purchased on-line.  Webkinz are always on back-order.  The newer Lil’ Kinz are just smaller versions of the same big Webkinz pet.  Nice if you want a little brother or little sister for your bigger pet. Wekinz Trading Cards are the newest marketing tool and lots of fun to win prizes and Kinzcash and of course to just collect so you can play the card game with your friends.  Collecting Virtual Webkinz Trading Cards and adopting Virtual Pets is just yet another reason to buy the Webkinz Trading Cards.  We’ll have lots to discuss here about Webkinz.  It’s a fun game for young and old alike.  Heck my mom even plays!
