Upcoming new Webkinz releases were discovered at the Atlanta Trade Show this week.  My retailer just got back from the Trade Show but was much to busy taking care of things that cropped up at her shop while she was away to spend any amount of time with me.  But she did say lots of new Webkinz are going to be released this year.  Actually far TOO MANY Webkinz and Webkinz Products are being released she said and she heard that moms are outraged at the amount of new Webkinz products being released.  I guess those of us with Webkinzitis will be shelling out big bucks this year!  I heard that one family owned hardware/gift shop in our area isn’t reordering any more Webkinz products because the market is being flooded they said.  Everybody and their brother is selling Webkinz and they are getting stuck with product they can’t sell!  Have you noticed this too?  You’d think you wouldn’t be able to buy a Webkinz at the drugstore, but alas, “it ain’t so”!  What’s the deal with that? WinterFest returns to WebKinz World starting January 26th to February 1st! What activities will WinterFest bring this year?  Will we be catching floating Snowflakes as they drift across our screens? What presents and activities will WinterFest bring?  Hot Chocolate and warm sweaters with matching knit caps would help keep our Webkinz warm.  S’mores always taste yummy on a brisk winter’s day.  Or maybe a pair of snow shoes would be fun to wear outside in our snow covered backyards.

The Webkinz Penguin Sledding down the hill at Kinville Park along with his buddy the Polar Bear.  That’s a nice tobbogin.  Wacky Zingoz and his Zingoz friends have just put the finishing touches on their Snowman.  I like the Farm Fresh Carrot nose!

 

 

The Gamers Garden Theme Room is a new theme you can get by unlocking the Webkinz Series 2 Trading Cards feature codes.  Take the game outside with this exquistie outdoor room theme found only with Webkinz Series 2 trading card feature codes. Webkinz announces the new Webkinz Velvety Elephant, the Tie Dye Frog, the Gray Arabian and the Black Poodle.The Pet’s Special Items and Pet’s Special Foods are as follows:  Webkinz Velvety Elephant receives the Elephant’s Travel Trunk and Creamy Peanut Parait, The Tie Dye Frog’s gifts are Tie Dye Frog Kaleidoscope and The Dyed Fly Pie, the Webkinz Gray Arabian comes with an Animated Genie Lamp and Alfalafel and the Black Poodle’s adoption presents are Poofy Poodle Chair and Licorice Canepes.  My BFF Deborah will soon be sending me a KinzPost with the Special Food Items from one or all of these New Webkinz.  Can’t wait to see what she adopts next!

Where are the Scavenger Hunt Clues?  The new Webkinz Contest Scavenger Hunt is supposed to start today and I can’t find the clues.  Usually they are located in the Webkinz Newz on the front page.  I have noticed that logging in has been very slow this morning and I’ve been logged out a few times so maybe the Webkinz Techz are trying to update the site.  Look for the clues to appear sometime today!

 January Pet of the Month is the Lil’Kinz Golden Retriever.  We were lucky enough to adopt a 3rd Golden Retriever, the 2nd this month.  So we now have 2 Pet of the Month Golden Retrievers!  The Pet of the Month Exclusive gifts were 765KC, Secret Recipe Food Miellabeelado and the animated Rocky Shores Lighthouse plus a 40% Coupon at the W-Shop.

KinzMet, our Lil’Kinz Golden Retriever new adoption was our 65th Webkinz Pet!  He won a Super Bed as a Super Exclusive Bonus Gift.  He choose the Night at the Movies Bed!

Here’s KinzMet and Peek-A-Boo the Webkinz Turtle taking a snooze.  Lots of Super Exclusive Gifts in their room! Other adoption gifts were the Retriever Treadmill, the Stoplight Lamp, welcome Balloon and the Marizpan Bone as his Pets Special Food!

KinzMiss found the Teardrop Tower, the Gem of the Day in the Barking Mad Mine!  As we entered the Barking Mad Mine the scary big blue bat was hanging out just overhead.  He starting flying to the right and we followed him deep into the mine until he disappeared out of sight.  We found the Teardrop Tower on our third try.  It was buried way back in the mine in a stalagmite on the bottom of the cave floor.  We need only two more gems, the Webkinz Diamond and the Ocean Sapphire  to fill our treasure chest, then trade all the gems in for our second Crown of Wonder! 

 

After going deep within the mine and finding the Teardrop Tower, Arte offered to buy it from us for 350KC!  Since we need it to finish our collection, we decided to keep our gem and add it to the treasure chest.

Perhaps the Webkinz Diamond will be the Gem of the Day on Valentines Day!.  The Love Frog will be adopted into our Webkinz family by then and he’ll be mining on Valentines Day for the Gem of the Day.  The Love Frog will be giving gifts of Hearts filled with Candy and maybe he’ll sneak a Webkinz Diamond in the box for some very lucky girlkinz!

A Cool New Webkinz Contest is Coming to Webkinz World.  We can’t wait to see what the clues for this Webkinz scavenger hunt contest will be.  I wonder if Arte Fact and the Curio Shop will some how be involved in the contest.  What’s in that wooden crate?  Maybe it’s rare gems!  Could the upcoming scavenger hunt have something to do with the mystery that involves Arte and his best Pal Doug the Dog and Arte’s Nephew Sparky?  See Chapter 1 of The W Tales. 

The new Webkinz scavenger hunt will start on January 9 and will run until January 25.  You’ll be able to submit your answers on January 26th at 9:00 AM KT. 

Webkinz World experienced some major technical issues over the Christmas Holiday.  If you had problems logging on or adopting a new Webkinz Pet, you weren’t alone.  Ganz recently issued this appology for the inconvenience you may have experienced and are assuring us that all will be fixed.  In addition they are awarding some very nice gifts for those that had trouble.     December 31, 2007 Over the past week, technical difficulties have reduced the level of service of Webkinz.com below acceptable levels.  We would like to take this opportunity to apologize for these issues and tell you what we will be doing for all of our great members who were inconvenienced over the holidays. OUr main problem was a technical issue that impacted the Adoption Centre leaving some of our newest members stuck in the adoption process.  If this problem has affected you, please know that we are currently in the process of fixing all stuck accounts.  This process is running day and night, and we expect all of the affected accounts to be fixed over the next few days.  When your account is fixed you will be able to complete your adoption and begin enjoying everything Webkinz World has to offer.  If you have contacted Customer Service about a new account, you will receive an email when your account is ready (note: some of these emails were sent blank.  If you received a blank email, check your account, it has been fixed). Additionally, further technical issues led to interruptions of service for many of our users.  We are confident that the fixes we have implemented have dealt with our key problems and that service will now be back at a level where everyone can fully enjoy our great site. As a token of our appreciation for your patience, we will be awarding an extra 500 KinzCash and a 1 month account extension to all accounts that were affected by these issues.  This award will be done automatically at some point in January when we are certain that all affected accounts have been properly fixed and the issues successfully dealt with.  You do not need to request the reward in any way.
