Webkinz MY PAGE was fun while it lasted, but I’m sure it’ll be back.  I had the opportunity to play around with MY PAGE for a few days, now it’s gone.  I think during the next maintenance update it’ll be back for everyone.  Here’s what I found today on my “Off-Shore” account.  Webkinz World is announcing MY PAGE to everyone but it was not available on that account today or any of the other accounts I have.

My Page Design finally loaded and here’s what I’ve done with the layout and design of Webkinz My Page.  The red hearts allow you to pick a category and what you love about that category using the arrow keys.  Just play around with these widget features, you can’t hurt anything. This page shows that Monk  loves Cooking Class, The Curio Shop, Atomolicious, Working in the Garden, especially with Water Lilies and the Manatee.  You can change the widgets by clicking the EDIT button, move the arrows to the desired favorite item, then click on SAVE!

  The next page you’ll want to design is the More About Me Page.  This defines who you are a little bit more.  You may select more favorites here and this pages also shows scores, number of Webkinz pets in your family and when you adopted your first Webkinz Pet.  Monk is my very first Webkinz that was given to me as a gift.  96 plus pets later and a blog, I’d say I’m hooked!

My Page can be all about Make Believe or the category widgets you select can really fit your own personal life story.

My Page has come to Webkinz World!  It’s really true! Look for My Page on the Things To Do List tab just under “My Room”.  Enter the Home Page and get started.  The Home Page is the first page you come to and the page where you find out what’s going on..

My Page allows you to show off your pets accomplishments, talents, favorite games, scores and design capability. 

First thing I did was read the “Help” instructions.  Then I started editing my Friends List.  Click on “My BFF’s” to advance to the next page.  Drag and drop the names in the left column to the proper columns, such as “BFF’s”, “Friends & Family”, or “Casual Buddies”. Please note that you are limited to 10 BFF, 50 Friends & Family and 50 Casual Buddies. 

The My BFF’s page will let you in on what’s going on with your best friend.  Click on their name and if they have something noteworthy to share with you it will appear on the ” What My BFF’s Are Doing”.  Your BFF list can be changed by clicking on EDIT. 

If you want to meet someone new, click on the “Meet Someone New” button where you’ll be taken to a random member’s My Page!

On this same page at the top right is the PREFERENCE button.  You can adjust your privacy settings in the Preference page.  You can change who can see your My Page and change what information you want to share with people that list you as their BFF.

Now on to the MY PAGE tab.  I was able to set the template and the Theme by clicking on the DESIGN button in the upper right corner.  But I think there are still major glitches with the program.  That’s as far as I’ve gotten.  I’ll update you later.  Since my other 3 accounts do not have the My Page Feature I wonder if this is still in the Beta Testing Stage.

Webkinz Stadium has added a brand new Competition!!  The Cooking Competition has been added to the Webkinz Stadium.  If flipping pancakes on the griddle has paid off for you, take your skills to the Pro Competition or to the Open Competition if you’re just starting out.

Have you seen the Webkinz Deer or the Webkinz Skunk?  Look for these new releases and more to hit your stores in August.

 

Here’s the Webkinz Deer modeling the Mod Jacket and the Kilt Skirt.  Webkinz Skunk is sporting her seasonal striped bathing suit.  The Great Outdoors Window and Black and White Skunk Fridge are their special adoption gifts.  Buck Potluck and Toadstool Fritter are their special foods.

Also look for the Webkinz Caramel Lion, Webkinz Cocoa Dinosaur, Webkinz American Albino (and we’ve just gotten word it’s RETIRED!) and the Silverback Gorilla.

I’m still waiting for the release of the Webkinz Fantail Goldfish and the Webkinz Manatee to hit my local retailer.  Have you adopted one?  We’ve learned that the Underwater Room will accept visits from your other Webkinz Pets!  They’ll have to wear a specially designed oxygen helmet!  What a great idea.  I was wondering how that would all pan out.  The oxygen helmet looks like a bubble that surrounds your pets head so they can breath underwater. Ingenious, Webkinz Wizards!  You can also take your Webkinz Fantail Goldfish and Webkinz Manatee onto dry land and into other rooms as well.  They’ll be surrounded entirely by a water bubble so they can still swim.  I’m sure the Manatees bubble has a pocket of oxygen at the top so he can come up for air! Did you know that real life Manatees love to eat lettuce and carrots?  They are vegetarian.  So remember to feed your Webkinz Manatee salad and carrots!

You can decorate your Underwater Room with the Webkinz Manatees Mangrove Treasure Trove and the Fantail Goldfish Fantail Table.  The Goldfish will love it’s Daphnia Dafine Special Food and the Manatee can munch on Mangrove Leaf Manicotti.

A new twist in the Webkinz Trading Card Series III packs.  You’ll only get one feature code to unlock at the Code Shop.  But this feature code will assure you an item you can’t find anywhere else in Webkinz World!  There will be no Virtual Cards feature codes to unlock but you will get stickers and a chance at winning a Mystery Pet Card.  I love winning Exclusive Gifts instead of the KinzCash or W Shop Items so this will be a plus and I’ll be buying more  version 3.0 Trading Cards.

Off to Alyssa’s Star Challege to look for Comets or Stars!  We won a come Solar Outfit.  The Solar Helmet, Solar Jacket, Solar Pants, Solar Boots and Solar Belt.

Webinz World announces a new Underwater Room that’s available when you adopt the brand new Webkins Fantail Goldfish or the Webkinz Manatee.  If this is your first to tenth adoption you’ll get an underwater room with our pet otherwise you’ll have to buy an underwater room.  With the added underwater room I wonder what other fishes of the sea Webkinz World has in store for us!

Hmmm…….will it be a KinzChat Plus or My Page launch when Webkinz World comes back online after their Wednesday Maintenance?  Two new projects are in the works and have kept the Webkinz Wizards very busy.  I’m not sure which new feature I’d like more.  KinzChat Plus was a lot of fun but will have lots more restrictions this time around.  We had fun “talking” with our best friends that we met in Webkinz World.  I’m not sure if our friends will be able to view our My Page feature.  That would be neat if they could.  They’d learn a bit more about our Webkinz Family that way.  So hang in there!  Surprises are just around the corner!

Jumping is the best exercise!  Shag A Licious graduated today to Level 6 in Agility class at the Kinzville Academy.  When he completed all the Level 5 classes and won the level 5 badge our Webkinz Black & White Cheeky Dog picked up a new ability.  Jumping!  Many of the other Webkinz living in our house have tried the jumping ability action too.  The Webkinz Toco Toucan flaps his wings as he jumps high into the air.  The Webkinz Striped Snake can jump off the ground too.

 Level 6 Agility class will be harder still.  We’ll have to complete 30 classes in order to advance to the next level and probably have to jump over the dreaded red hurdle.

My Page has been announced from Ganz in a bulletin today.  Here’s what they have to report:  “Today we have released a very special preview of a new feature to a small number of Webkinz World members, to help us ensure that everything is ready before we launch this exciting feature to everyone.”

“If you have been selected for the preview, you will see a new option in your Things to Do menu called “My Page”.  Here you will be able to show off your favorite hosts and games, your best high scores, and all of your great Webkinz pets.  And this is just the beginning!” 

“If you do not see the option, please be patient.  We will launch My Page to everyone in Webkinz World just as soon as we’re sure that it’s working exactly as we intended.  Please note that during this initial preview, our Customer Service will not be answering any questions about My Page.” 

“So get ready to start showing off your Webkinz accomplishments.  My Page is on the way!”

 We’re so glad there is Beta Testing being done on this new launch and we’re looking forward to the first release of My Page.
